

The 2012 XLR160 is a mid sized bike designed for competition use, and now features an aircraft grade aluminium awing arm which has been designed to work with the new chromolly tubed frame and race shock.
This new alloy swing arm not only improves the aesthetics of the bike but also saves weight and improves the geometry of the frame to give the rider the ultimate feedback in all riding conditions. The Zongshen 160 High Output engine has incredible amounts of power and is the perfect platform for further tuning should you require it. Other improvements include replacing the cast fork bottoms for forged items which greatly increase the strength of the front suspension. We have also upgraded all the nuts, bolts,washers and other fixings to grade 10 high tensile steel giving maximum durability to these vital parts. To minimise down time after a fall we have also introduced the brake snake that is fitted as standard to our Proline range and is now fitted to all our bikes, this cable attaches to the rear brake lever and the sump guard and prevents the rear brake lever from bending outwards in the event of an impact, such a small device can make a big difference in racing and it is this attention to detail that sets us apart.
